Privacy policy
Introduction
This policy explains what information Idle Clicker: Boba Tea Shop ("the app") handles and where it goes. The app is made by Winton Gee ("we" or "us"). In short: there is no account, no analytics and no server of ours. Your progress stays on your iPhone, where we cannot read it.
Information stored on your iPhone
The game saves the following on your iPhone so you can pick up where you left off. None of it is sent to us.
- Your game: your cups, buildings, upgrades, the drinks and combos you have discovered, your stars and when you last played, so the shop can keep brewing while you are away.
- Your settings: sound, music, haptics, motion and number style.
- Your unlocks: which unlocks you own, as confirmed by the App Store.
- Ad bonus counts: how many ad bonuses you have claimed today and when, so the daily limits work.
- Your privacy choices: your answers on Google's consent form, kept on your iPhone by Google's consent tool so it does not ask again.
Game Center
Leaderboards and achievements use Apple's Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple and shown with your Game Center display name. The game shows display names only and never asks you to sign in. To stop, sign out of Game Center in the Settings app.
Purchases
Unlocks and boosts are sold through the App Store with Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details or your name.
Optional ads from Google AdMob
The game offers rewarded ads only: you choose to watch one for a bonus. There are never banners or interstitials, at most 10 a day and none in your first session. Tea Patron gives the bonuses without ads. Google's ad SDK does not start until the first time you tap an ad offer and answer any consent questions.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. When an ad loads or plays, Google may collect:
- Device identifiers. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is never shared, because the game never asks to track you
- Your IP address
- How you interact with ads, such as views and taps
- Coarse location, such as your country or city, worked out from your IP address
- Diagnostics, such as crash and performance data from the ad SDK
Google does not receive your game progress, your purchases or your Game Center data from the game. For how Google uses this data, see Google's privacy policy (opens in a new tab) and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services (opens in a new tab).
Your ad and privacy choices
EEA, UK and Switzerland. Before any ad loads, Google's consent form asks whether Google and its partners may use your data for ads. You can choose Consent, Manage options or Do not consent.
US states with privacy laws. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for ads through Google's US state privacy message.
Change your mind. Where Google requires it, the game's Settings shows Privacy choices, which opens the form again so you can change your answer at any time.
Tracking. The game never asks to track you, so iOS never shows the tracking prompt and the advertising identifier is not shared.
Personalized ads. The game cannot confirm your age, so it treats every player as a child: it asks Google for child-directed treatment and G-rated ads, which means no personalized ads.
Report an ad
If an ad seems wrong for your age, offensive, misleading or broken, open Settings in the game and tap Report an ad. The game opens an email draft to us with the reason, the time, where the last ad played, the ad network and the app version. Nothing is sent until you send the email, and we use it only to get the ad blocked.
Information we do not collect
- No account or sign-in
- No analytics SDK
- No server of ours: the game never sends your progress to us
- No payment details
- No contacts, photos, microphone or precise location
Keeping and deleting your data
- Progress on your iPhone: delete the app. This removes everything it stored on the device. Reset progress in the game's Settings also starts the game over and cannot be undone.
- Game Center: scores and achievements are kept by Apple under its privacy policy. You can ask Apple for a copy or for deletion at privacy.apple.com (opens in a new tab).
- Ad data: kept by Google under its own policy. See how Google retains data (opens in a new tab).
- Emails: emails you send us, including ad reports, are kept only as long as needed to help you, and deleted on request.
- Purchase history: your purchase record with Apple is tied to your Apple Account and stays after you delete the app, so you can restore your unlocks later.
Children's privacy
The game is rated 4+ and can be played by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children: there is no account and no server of ours.
The game does not confirm anyone's age, so it treats every player as a child: it asks Google for child-directed treatment, which means no personalized ads, and it never asks to track you.
If you think a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
